Food and Clothing

The tragic consequences of poverty are felt most keenly around major holidays such as Rosh Hashanah and Passover. It is at times like these that food plays a particularly important role. It also the time when growing children traditionally receive new clothing and shoes.

Tragically there are thousands of families for whom holiday foods are simply beyond their reach. As for new clothing, especially shoes for the growing feet of children... well if you can’t afford food, who can even think about clothing.

Colel Chabad maintains a range of programs designed to alleviate the plight of the poor before holidays and festivals.
